Borrowed Item Tracker App
Never forget who borrowed your things. IOweU helps you track lent and borrowed items, from books and chargers to tools, games and household items.
Stop wondering who has your stuff
You lent your drill, your phone charger or that book you really liked — and weeks later you are not even sure who has it. Texting around to find out is awkward, and a note in your phone is easy to lose.
IOweU gives every lent item a clear home that is visible to both sides, so nothing quietly disappears.
Track items like IOUs
In IOweU, a borrowed or lent item works the same way as a money IOU. You create it, share it, and resolve it when the item comes back.
- Create an item IOU from either side — the lender or the borrower.
- Add a photo of the item so there is no ambiguity later.
- Get push notifications when the other side accepts, proposes a change, or marks it returned.
- Settle the IOU when the item is back, or waive it if you decide to let it go.

Useful for friends, roommates and families
Items move around between the same people again and again — flatmates borrowing each other's pans, friends swapping books, family members sharing tools. A shared list of lent items keeps things friendly and clear.
More than a note in your phone
A notes app does not notify the other person, does not let them confirm, and does not remind anyone when something has been out for too long. IOweU does — and the borrower can see the same IOU on their side.

Frequently asked questions
Can I track items I borrowed from other people?
Yes. You can create the IOU yourself — whether you are the borrower or the lender. Either side can mark the item returned.
Can I attach a photo of the item?
Yes. Adding a photo makes it clear which item the IOU refers to, especially helpful for tools, books and similar everyday items.
What happens when the item comes back?
Either side can settle the IOU. If you decide to let the item go, you can waive it instead.
Is IOweU free?
Yes. The app is 100% free with no in-app purchases. It is ad-supported, made in Switzerland, and your data is hosted in the EU under GDPR.
